Jeanne's Window Art, Ice Wreaths, and More!

Looking for ideas on what to do with those old windows you've picked up at the flea market? Why not do what Jeanne did and paint right on the glass panes! It gives a whole new meaning to the the term "framed art":) Just look at some of these sweet and beautiful examples of her work! (click to enlarge)

Here is a creative way to display old-fashioned objects like these little skates...Jeanne painted some pretty roses on them and used them for bookends!

Who knew that you could decorate your home with...ice?!! Jeanne found this "ice wreath" idea in a magazine and shared photos of her own wreaths with us. She made these lovely ice wreaths using bundt pans filled with water on a cold winter day. She says that after the water freezes, she runs water around the pan in the sink, pops the ice out, ties a ribbon through the middle hole, and then hangs them outside. What a great way to add some interest to the exterior of your home during the drab winter months! She says this is also a great gift and project for kids. She says, "I started buying up bundt pans at the flea for like a quater, and I made up packages for all my nieces and nephews with a printout of the directions...and the kids just love em..they are really cool to watch melt!"

As you can see, Jeanne has knack for reusing items in interesting ways. Visit her website at Junxtapostion to see more of her creative work! Thanks, Jeanne!
